Geo-targeted ads tested on M23 bus

Out-of-home advertising company Titan Worldwide is currently testing GPS-enabled 12-foot LED-displays on an M23 bus along 23rd street.

The technology offers advertisers the possibility to target messages by location.

A new report by PQ Media predicts 28,2 percent growth for digital billboards in the US market this year.

Drop.io adds location

File sharing service Drop.io today is launching Drop.io Location at the Web 2.0 Expo. The new feature provides users the ability to assign a physical location to digital content in a Drop.io drop.

Linking file drops to geographical locations opens advertising opportunities as well as additional privacy and security controls. Drop.io Location uses Skyhook Wireless’ wifi-positioning network.
