Geo-targeted ads tested on M23 bus

Out-of-home advertising company Titan Worldwide is currently testing GPS-enabled 12-foot LED-displays on an M23 bus along 23rd street.

The technology offers advertisers the possibility to target messages by location.

A new report by PQ Media predicts 28,2 percent growth for digital billboards in the US market this year.

Skyhook helps kickstart geoweb industry

Boston-based Skyhook Wireless provides the wifi positioning technology for the iPhone 3G. Wifi positioning works indoors, where GPS fails.

The company now also offers hybrid positioning, that combines both GPS and wifi to get the best possible effect, and recently expanded its operations into Europe.
